والحاجة إلى التعامل العاطفي والاستقرار النفسي.
والحفاظ على النوع البشري.
وطاعة الله.
هي التي تساهم في قضية انتخاب الشريك المناسب.
التوافق والسعادة
وضع الإسلام عدداً من المبادىء الهامة التي تحكم الزواج والأسرة.
أولها: مبدأ السكينة:
فالسكينة هى أحد مقاصد الزواج على نحو ما يوضح القرآن الكريم: {ومن آياته أن خلق لكم من أنفسكم أزواجاً لتسكنوا اليهاوجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يتفكرون}.
وينطوي هذا اللفظ على معاني السلام والتوافق والسعادة.
وحتى تتحقق السكينة في حياة الأسرة فمن الضروري ان تربط المودة والتعاطف والرحمة بين الزوج وزوجته.
والسلام والتوافق والسعادة في الحياة الزوجية على نحو ما يصورها الإسلام قد لا تتحقق إلا إذا ادرك الزوجان بصورة كاملة معنى الزواج وأنه مدخل إلى حياة جديدة تنطوي على مسؤوليات.
فإذا ما اقدم الإنسان على الزواج دون قدرة على توفير المتطلبات اللازمة له فإنه سيكون من الصعب تحقيق السكينة المنشودة، وستزداد الصعوبة بزيادة الأعباء ومسؤوليات الإعالة مع كثرة المواليد، إذ أن أعباء الأسرة ستكون أشد وأثقل.
وهذا ليس على مستوى الأفراد فحسب، بل ينسحب على مستوى المجتمعات، فإذا لم تكن على قدر المسؤولية في الحفاظ على الأسرة وتلبية متطلباتها، عاش المجتمع مريضاً.
إن درجة التأثير المتبادل بين الأسرة كنواة أولى في المجتمع، ولبنة أساسية فيه، وبين النظم المحيطة بها قد نوقشت على أعلى المستويات الوطنية والعربية والإسلامية والدولية، حيث أثرت بشكل مباشر على البناء الثقافي والقيمي للمجتمع.
ومما لا شك فيه: أن المشكلة السكانية بأبعادها الثلاثة: (الزيادة السكانية، والتوزيع السكاني، والخصائص السكانية) تعد من أخطر المشاكل التي تواجه المجتمعات على مر العصور والأزمان.
وقد أولت الحكومة اهتماماً بالغاً بالمسألة لجهة معرفة أبعاد المشكلة، والعمل على تنظيمها والسيطرة عليها؛ تحقيقاً للأهداف التنموية، وذلك عبر برنامج (تنظيم الأسرة) الذي تشرف عليه الهيئة السورية لشؤون الأسرة.
رغم أن الكل متفق على أن حل المشكلة السكانية هو مسؤولية جماعية؛ تحتاج تضافر جهود جميع القطاعات وكافة الهيئات والمؤسسات العاملة في مجال السكان، أو التي لها علاقة بالسكان بما في ذلك وزارة الأوقاف، ومن هنا كان حرص الوزارة على إصدار دليل عمل للمسألة في أبعادها الدينية.
فتنظيم الأسرة مسؤولية إنسانية من أجل وجود نوعي متميز، قادر على التحقق بالغاية الأسمى، والوصول إلى الهدف الأرقى دنيا وأخرى
فالتنظيم يعني جعل الأمر منظماً، يخضع لقواعد وضوابط وأسس علمية سليمة.
وكلمة [تنظيم] واسعة الدلالة، وهي مرغوبة في كل شئ، والكون ذاته قائم على هذا، قال الله تعالى: }إنا كل شئ خلقناه بقدر{ [سورة القمر 49].
وأما كلمة [الأسرة] فعريضة المدى، واسعة الطيف، عميقة الدلالة، بسلامتها يَسلم المجتمع.
وهي تضم في الغالب: زوجاً، زوجة، وأولاداً، وأقارب.
وهؤلاء بمجموعهم يشكلون مجتمعاً صغيراً، هو النواة لمجتمع كبير.
وحين نضيف كلمة [تنظيم] إلى كلمة [أسرة] فيقصد بها:
كل أمر يعمل على تهيئة الظروف السوية لأسرة ناجحة سعيدة في الدنيا، وفالحة في الآخرة.
وكلمة تنظيم الأسرة يراد بها في الغالب: ما يتعلق بالنسل البشري والذرية الإنسانية؛ قِلة أو كثرة.
